VANILLA AND RED VELVET CAKE RECIPES.

Valentine’s  day is here people, and for those that know me, know that this day wouldn’t just pass by without dish with Trysh going all sugar for you ( Literally)! So I had my own mini dessert table that was so fun to make. 

Use this recipe too bake my very simple cakes, then let’s start the fun part in my next post! I am already in love.

RED VELVET CAKE

Ingredients:

  1. 400 grams of all purpose flour  
  2. Baking soda ( 1 tbsp)
  3. Salt (0.5 tsp)
  4. Half a block of unsalted butter
  5. 1 cup of vegetable oil
  6. White vinegar (2 tbsp)
  7. Vanilla (1 tsp)
  8. 1 cup of buttermilk
  9. 1.5 cups of sugar
  10. 2 table spoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  11. 2 eggs
  12. Red food color

Method:

  1. Set your oven on 350 degrees F and grease your pan using some butter then finally dust with some flour.
  2. In a bowl, beat the sugar and the butter with an electric mixer until very smooth. Add your eggs, oil, vinegar,  vanilla and buttermilk gradually then use a whisk to beat gently.
  3. In another bowl, mix your dry ingredients ( Cocoa, flour, baking soda and salt), then sift them together to achieve a fine mixture.
  4. Transfer the wet ingredients to the dry ones, then begin to mix gently to avoid any kind of air pockets. Add food color, mix a bit more then pour into your greased pan.
  5. Your cake will be ready in about 30 minutes. Use a toothpick to confirm.

 

VANILLA CAKE
